Post Divorce Modifications and Your Rights to Discovery

Post-Judgment Modifications and Your Right to Discovery. You have been divorced for a while and you decide to file for a Post-Judgment Modification of alimony or child support. According to the Connecticut General Statutes, as was the case with your original divorce proceeding, you are entitled to mandatory disclosure and production, within 30 days of your request, of the following documents: tax returns, income information, bank and other financial account statements, retirement account statements, life insurance information, written appraisals for all assets, medical insurance information and a sworn financial affidavit. From these documents you can determine if the respondent has assets / income in order to modify the original court orders.
