Karen’s (pronounced “Car-in” in her country of birth, South Africa) vast experience over 20 years is fo-cused on the areas of divorce and family law, real estate, wills, trusts and estates. Karen’s broad range of experience includes representing both individual clients in prenuptial litigation and mediation and Non-Adversarial divorces processes such as divorce mediation and review counsel. Karen’s management and business skills are put to use to advise clients in matters involving real estate, wills, trusts and estates, and business law. Karen is deeply committed to using her skills and expertise in matrimonial law to help cou-ples and families reach the best possible result as they move onto the next stage of their lives.
Karen is incredibly grateful to have had two amazing judicial mentors, having interned for then-Judge Sonia Sotomayor, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit while earning her law degree and clerking for the late Hon. Gerard L. Goettel, U.S. District Judge S.D.N.Y. after graduating from law school.
An active member and contributor to the local community, volunteer, and triathlete, working at The Prince Law Group provides Karen with the work / life balance she needs to meet her clients’ needs with excellence while fulfilling her personal goals and commitments.
Prior to joining The Prince Law Group, she served as an attorney at Maya Murphy, P.C.
Karen lives in Stamford, CT with her husband and two children, and when she’s not watching her two little ones play hockey, she and her husband can be found on the ice. Her family also gets immense enjoyment volunteering with Puppies Behind Bars, a nonprofit that trains prison inmates to raise service dogs for wounded veterans and first responders.
